In celebration of International Women’s Day1) Organiser: Ang Mo Kio Community Centre Women’s Executive Committee The event is managed by Chess Academy (Singapore) Pte Ltd and is played under FIDE Laws of Chess and the following rules and regulations. The Women Open Category is FIDE rated. The event is supported by the Singapore Chess Federation.

2) Date & Time: Sunday 17 April 2016, 9.00 am to 6.30 pm (Competitors to report before 8.45 am )

3) Venue: Ang Mo Kio Community Centre, 795 Ang Mo Kio Street 22,Singapore 569976 (Next to Blk 226H Food Centre)

4) Eligibility: Open to all Women and Girls. Men / Boys can only take part in the Invitational Category. There shall be three categories, (a) Open Category (Open to all Women only – FIDE Rated & Unrated – Non Singaporean must provide FIDE ID Number to be eligible) (b) Challengers (Open to all Women – Unrated). (c) Invitational Open Category (Men & Boys only)

5) Mode of Competition: 7 Rounds Swiss using Swiss Manager with 25 minutes for each player to complete the game.

6) Entry Fee: Shall be $ 25.00 per participant (Passion Card Members) and $ 28.00 (Non Passion Card Members)

7) Prizes: Trophies shall be presented to the top 10 winners in each category. Cash Prizes for the Open Category ONLY shall be – Champion: $ 250; 1st Runner-Up: $ 200; Third: $ 150; 4th – 8th – $50.00 each. In the Challengers and Invitational (Men/Boys) Categories, merit prizes shall be awarded next best 5 participants for Under 12; Under 10; Under 8 and Pre-Schools.

8) Closing Date: Thursday 14 April 2016 at 7.00 pm or the first 200 entries. Late entries and entries without payment will not be accepted. Entry Fee paid is non-refundable.

9) In the event of any disputes (outside the Laws of Chess), the organizer’s decision shall be final and no further correspondence shall be entertained. Participants should refrain from playing if they do not feel well.
