- Organiser: Teck Ghee Community Club Women’s Executive Committee. The event is managed by Chess Academy (Singapore) Pte Ltd and played under FIDE Laws of Chess and the following rules and regulations. This is an INDIVDUAL EVENT and the Open category shall be FIDE rated.
- Date & Time: Sunday 3rd July 2016, 9.00 am to 6.30 pm (Participants to report by 8.45 am)
- Venue of Competition: Ang Mo Kio Community Centre, 795 Ang Mo Kio Street 22, Singapore 569976 (Next to Blk 226H Food Centre). Teck Ghee CC will be closed for a major upgrading / renovation in July 2016.

- Eligibility: Open to all. There shall be three categories, (a) Open (FIDE rated – all participants must have FIDE IDs. Singaporeans need to apply to SCF for an ID before registration. A fee is payable) (b) Challengers (Open to all). (c) Under-8. Age shall be as on 1st January 2016.
- Mode of Competition: 7 Rounds Swiss using Swiss Manager with 25 minutes for each player to complete the game.
- Entry Fee: Shall be $ 22.00 per participant (Passion Card Members) and $ 25.00 (Non Passion Card Members). Para-Participants (disabled) shall have entry fee waived.
- Prizes: Trophies shall be presented to the top 10 winners (Male) and top 5 winners (Female) in each category. Cash Prizes for the Open Category only, shall be – Champion: $ 200.00; 1st Runner-Up: $ 150.00; 2nd Runner-Up: $ 100.00; 4th – 6th: $ 50.00 each.
- Family Prizes: Although this is an INDIVIDUAL EVENT, 5 Trophies each shall be awarded to the best Family Teams (Duos (2 members), Trios (3 members) and Quads (4 members). The total score of each member in the family shall be added up to determine the best family teams. Eligibility for Family Team Members shall be parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, uncles and aunties.
- For the Challenger category, 5 (boys) and 3 (girls) additional merit prizes each shall be awarded to the next best Under 12 & Under 10. For the Under 8 Category, all pre-schoolers will receive merit prizes.
- Closing Date: Sunday 26 June 2016 at 7.00 pm or the first 200 entries. Late entries and entries without payment will not be accepted. Entry Fee paid is non-refundable.
- In the event of any disputes (outside the Laws of Chess), the organizer’s decision shall be final and no further correspondences shall be entertained. All participants agree not to hold the organizers responsible for any mishaps or injuries incurred arising from their participation in this event.
